In 1924, Baron Philippe asks artist to design the label for Mouton, ahead of its time is not repeated. Since 1945, To celebrate the Allied victory and mark his return to his estates, Baron Philippe asks the artist Philippe Jullian to illustrate the Mouton Rothschild label: the [V] for Victory appears on the bottles, to universal acclaim. Then, original artwork specially created for Mouton by a contemporary artist every year.

The 1993 Mouton label, a pencil drawing of a nude reclining nymphet by the French painter Balthus. The dreamy adolescent girl, wilful, graceful and fragile all the hypnotic power of a style that is both limpid and full of mystery, leading us away to distant lands of fantasy and desire.

Deep color with a slightly orange hue and when open refined nose the displays blackcurrant, leather and caramel notes, mingling with black fruit, strong taste palate where the tannic become more velvety, long finish and compact.
